The Dark House

It's the summer of 2015 and 24-year-old Lucy is excited to spend the summer working as a caretaker at a remote mansion on the coast. She needs the solitude to finish her graduate thesis and is looking forward to the peace and quiet of the old house.

As she settles in, strange things start to happen. Lucy hears footsteps in the empty halls and sees shadows moving in the corners of her eye. At first, she chalks it up to the house being old and creaky, but as the occurrences become more frequent and more intense, she starts to believe that the house is haunted.

Lucy confides in the mansion's owner, Mr. Thompson, who tells her the dark history of the house. It turns out that the mansion was built on an ancient burial ground and that the previous caretaker had gone missing under mysterious circumstances. Mr. Thompson advises Lucy to leave the house and find a new job, but Lucy is determined to prove to herself that she is not afraid of ghosts.

As the summer wears on, the hauntings become more and more terrifying. Lucy starts to see the ghost of the previous caretaker everywhere and becomes convinced that the spirit is trying to communicate with her. She also hears the voice of a child crying in the night and sees strange figures lurking in the shadows.

Despite her fear, Lucy is determined to uncover the mystery of the house. She starts to do research on the mansion's history and discovers that a young girl had gone missing in the area around the same time that the mansion was built. She becomes convinced that the girl's spirit is haunting the house and that she needs to find a way to set the spirit free.

Lucy turns to a local occult expert for help and learns that the mansion is built on a nexus of spiritual energy. In order to banish the spirits from the house, she must perform a series of rituals to purify the energy and release the trapped souls.

With the help of the occult expert, Lucy successfully performs the rituals and banishes the spirits from the house. She is relieved to have solved the mystery and to have freed the trapped souls. However, she is left with a deep sense of unease and decides to leave the mansion and the dark secrets it holds behind.
